Sister Paula Lett, Minister of Music

Paula Lett has been involved in music all of her life, beginning with her first piano lesson at age six.  She began her singing debut at age 10, singing and playing the piano at her home church.  At the age of fourteen, Paula first served as church organist then at age sixteen served as church pianist.  She also played for school, county and district quartet competitions most of her high school career.  She served as school pianist from ninth - twelfth grade, playing for special events as needed by her mentor, school music and choral director, Nancy Green.  Paula sang in the FFA choral group, FFA quartet, Beta Club School Talent Show and competed in the State Beta Club Talent competition.  Representing Verbena High School, Paula won the state competition and competed at the national level in Lexington, Kentucky.

After completing eleven years of piano lessons in high school, Paula attended the University of Alabama where she was very active musically.    She sang in the University Choir under the direction of Dr. Carolyn Jones for two years.  After graduating with a secondary education degree, Paula remained active in church music.  After she and her fiancee' Paul married in 1991, Paula began a different avenue of music ministry-leading worship.  As they traveled extensively, Paula developed a special heart for entering into the presence of God.

When the Letts began their first pastorate at Guin Church of God in 1994, Paula made her first debut as a worship leader.  From this time until now, Paula has been leading people into the presence of God. 1996 marked Paula's licensure as the first licensed woman minister of music in Alabama.

As Minister of Music at Harvest Center in Pell City, Paula serves that local body in a number of ways.  Her desire, however, is to minister to the Lord in worship, to sing the prophetic song of the Lord, and to lead people into a fresh experience of who HE is.
